Rukus is BACK!. With this Mixtape titled The Hunger, all eyes will be on Rukus henceforth. If his freestyles on The Names Ruk and Dream Deferred are any indication of how hungry he is to show and prove that he’s ready to be crowned one of the Best Nigerian Rappers on the planet, then I must say he is only a few singles away from getting there. But almost anyone can drop a hot 15 track Mixtape, right? Well those same freestyle artists might not be able to compose such thought-driven songs like “Fear (Freestyle),” “Turn It Around,” with Soye and “Skipped Breakfast.” and then switches it up for the ladies in songs like "No Time (Remix)," "Ada Owerri." I must say that listening to the mixtape, I am very impressed with how he carried himself on every track with so much composure and confidence as he kept dropping clever punchlines, positive lyrics and was able to attack crazy hot beats by producer KidKonnect like in "Naija Hair" featuring Soulbrotha. Overall, Rukus is on the right track and will no doubt develop a loyal following if he continues on this path.
