Gilyto Semedo was born in Cape Verde (Santiago) in 1976, at the end
of the 80s he migrated  to Portugal where he resides since then.
In the mid-90s he lived in Holland, Rotterdam, it is there where his passion
for dance is fused with his desire to interprete his own songs.
In 1999 he created his own publishing house (GMS Productions,
currently GMS Entertainment) and released his first album Kel Tempu (Those Eras)
and he hasn’t stopped since...

Due of his dancing movements on stage, his singing and
his radiating personality, today he is known as "Gilyto Mr. Entertainer" and became
one of the young artists most asked for live shows, within the Portuguese speaking
African countries, and all countries with a Cape Verdean community.

Accompanied by an excellent live band, with high qualified  muscians, 
he is constantly participating in numerous festivals worldwide 
(Europe, Africa, Brazil and USA) and he always comes back with  invitations
for new shows.

His most successful works are : Atriz Principal  (Main Actress), Tenho medo,
Sereia N’areia (Mermaid in the Sand), Diamante Africana (African Diamond),
Bágu Na Tcháda (drifter), Nôs Terra Morabeza (Our Land of Kindness)...
